Seven Days. Seven days is the amount of time I have left here in Switzerland. This morning I woke up and got ready to travel to Bäretswil which is a small city also in the canton of Zürich. The reason I wanted to travel there is because it is where my grandmother grew up. After taking three buses and a train, I arrived in the village center at around 11:00. Once there, I began walking down Baumastrasse, the main road in the village. On this street I saw my great-grandmother’s house, their family workshop and town hall. I never had the chance to meet her although I have been told she was such a kind and generous person. After visiting the old home; per my mother’s request I brought flowers to her grave in the town cemetery. The cemetery was only about a mile away and afterwards watered some of the flowers nearby. I then backtracked a little and walked to the old Bäretswil train station. It is now only used for one vintage train every two weeks so I was able to take some interesting pictures of the tracks and station. I then returned to Stäfa to go shopping. I was getting some items to make a sushi diner with some of Beda’s friends. Later in the evening Beda, Kevin, and I met up with them and we all made some amazing sushi. This ended the last Friday night I would spend here in Switzerland.
