Today I awoke to the sound of endless passing cars. I am beginning to think I can get rid of my alarm clock because something else ALWAYS wakes me up first. Anyway, today after waking up and eating something small for breakfast I learned how to make three beautiful dessert dishes: crème brûlée, strawberry parfait, and panna cotta, which were for the ongoing banquets at The Restaurant today. After lunch the sun finally came out at The Villa Sunneschy (Villa Sunshine) and I was able to hear some Alpenhorn players [A Type of Swiss Instrument] as well as spot some passing Swiss steamboats. Later in the day I traveled into Rapperswil and walked around the old-town as well as walk to the top of the Schloss Castle. To finish off the night I walked along lake Zürich and watched the steamboats depart from the Rapperswil Schifffahrt (Boat landing).

This morning I awoke to the sound of church bells ringing. At 6... In the morning.... On a Saturday. I got up and out of bed and began to make breakfast because in case you missed it there were loud Church Bells ringing at 6... In the morning... On a Saturday! Anyway, I determined today would be the day I went into downtown Zürich. I departed Stäfa, Kelhof at 8:12 and arrived in Zürich Hauptbahnhof (Zürich Main Station) at 8:47. Once there I had the chance to explore the Hauptbahnhof for a little while because I was interested in the trains. Then I walked down the famous Zürich Bahnhofstrasse (train station street or street the train station is on) which has an extensive collection of expensive retailers and shops. After exploring a little while more, I took five different trains around Zürich and found my way home later.
Today, I awoke to the sound of rain on my windowsill. After getting dressed and eating breakfast I got ready for work. Today I was able to learn how to serve properly as well as garnish most of the plates for an ongoing seminar. After work I took a small bike ride through Stäfa and then decided to get some school work done. I was able to complete a small amount of my AP Chemistry summer homework. Later I was able to play some racquetball and table tennis before getting some well needed rest.
I awoke this morning feeling better than expected without much jetlag. After eating a small breakfast I walked down to the nearby restaurant, The Villa Sunneschy, to begin work for the day. I learned how to make beer-battered fish, as well as how to pre-cook and cook during lunch service. After lunch I visited a nearby park where there were animals everywhere. I was able to shoot a few pictures of some swans, a type of bird I believe to be the Alpine Accentor, and ducks. Thereafter I had some free time to explore a little before returning to the apartment for the night.
Today after getting off an exhausting 11 hour plane ride, I met up with my uncle and found out where I would be staying for the next week. I also had a chance to see the restaurant I would be working at, The Villa Sunneschy. It is a beautiful restaurant that also hosts events and seminars where people can rent various rooms. There is also an outside patio where one can enjoy the warm Swiss air overlooking Lake Zurich. After finishing the tour of the restaurant and a short ride through the countryside I decided to turn in for the night and see what awaits for me tomorrow.
